Golf Etiquette

Unlike many sports, the game of golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire to determine the action to take when facing a situation with the Rules of Golf. The game relies on the integrity of the individual(s) playing a round of golf and the consideration shown to other players, whether playing in a competition and/or for recreational purposes but always playing by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner. demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is what is known as "The Spirit of the Game". (courtesy of www.usga.org)
